Do I need to know how to code?
No. You describe what you want in your own words, and your AI does the building. If you can write a message to a friend, you can grow an app.
Which AI do I need?
One you already have. Connect ChatGPT or Claude to Sprout and ask for apps in the same chat, or build right here in Sprout with your own AI account or an OpenAI or Anthropic API key. If you use Codex, Claude Code or Cursor, you can connect those too.
Does it work with the free version of ChatGPT or Claude?
It depends on your plan. Your AI reaches Sprout by connecting a tool, and some free plans can’t connect tools yet. If yours can’t, you can still build right here in Sprout instead.
Can my family use it?
Yes. Make the app public and share its link in the family chat, and anyone with the link can open it on their phone or computer. Public means public, so keep anything personal in a private app.
What does it cost?
Sprout is free for your first 3 apps. Paid plans add more apps, more storage, your own domains and automatic repairs. There are no AI credits to buy: your own AI account does the thinking.
What if I switch AI?
Your apps stay on Sprout. Connect a different AI whenever you like and carry on where you left off.
